Home Exhibitions. The Central Bank celebrated the life and career of one of Trinidad and Tobago's most illustrious sons: mathematician, physicist, teacher and politician, Dr. Rudranath Capildeo. Rudranath Capildeo was born in central Trinidad in and spent the first half of his life immersed in scholarly pursuits, at which he excelled. As such, he took part in the Marlborough House conference in England which cleared the way for the country's Independence in He received the country's highest national award, the Trinity Cross, from the Government of Trinidad and Tobago in He suffered with poor health and after years of battling with illness, Dr.
